Assessment Policy

In order to determine successful completion of a unit within a course, an assessment is conducted. Methods of assessment will vary and may include reports, case studies, essays, projects, practical demonstrations etc. The type of assessment will depend on:

• the module or unit being studied
  
• the study mode, and
  
• individual requirements

All assessments are competency-based. Please refer to the Grading section for a more detailed explanation of the competency-based system.
