Recognition of Prior Learning |

Each student who has enrolled in a course/unit is able to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL takes into account a student's background and experience that may be relevant to the course. If a student already possesses the required knowledge then they may be given credit for part or all of a unit. This in turn will reduce the course cost. Evidence is required to support any claims for RPL and this may be in the form of certificates or statements from other training organisations, practical demonstration, or satisfactory completion of an assessment. Fees for RPL vary depending upon the type of assessment needed to support RPL. Students wanting to apply for RPL for an entire course should note that a minimum 30% of course fees will apply to complete an RPL assessment process, unless relevant certification from other Registered Training Organisations is provided.
