MYOB for Business Managers

This course is designed for people who will be starting a business or who will be converting a manual bookkeeping and payroll system to MYOB.

Entry Requirements: Nil. A knowledge of manual bookkeeping procedures is an advantage but not essential.

Length: Self-paced (average 20 hours).

Software: The course is completed using MYOB Accounting Plus (version 16) software. A trial version of this software is provided to all students.

Content: This course is suitable for business owners/managers or people who want to use the advanced features of the MYOB program. It is a useful course for people who need to set up company accounts or convert manual records to the MYOB system. All course materials, including software (test drive version) and a comprehensive manual, are supplied. Topics covered include daily transactions, creating and maintaining accounts, entering sales and purchases, recording payments and receipts, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, monitoring outstanding accounts, setting up company records, creating and maintaining inventory, using time billing functions, monitoring business performance, setting up BAS statement information, using the general journal, generating reports and creating customised reports and business stationery.
