Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Course Code: TAE40110)

 

This course aims to provide a high level of training and assessment skills to people interested in becoming a workplace trainer and/or assessor. The course is also useful for existing workplace trainers and assessors seeking to update their skills. This qualification is required by all trainers and assessors delivering or assessing against nationally endorsed competency standards.

Entry Requirements: There are no specific entry requirements, however, students who intend to complete this qualification via distance education will require access to a training environment and video recording equipment.

Length: Self-paced (average 5 weeks full-time).

Cost: $1800.00 ($1620.00 concession).

Austudy Approved? Yes.

Commencement Date: Courses can be commenced at any time.

Delivery Modes: Available online and/or distance education. Students who complete the course entirely by distance education will need access to video recording equipment and a training environment. Students who complete the course online will use an online classroom to deliver training.

Course Structure:

A total of 10 units must be completed to achieve the qualification.

  • Plan, organise and deliver group based delivery
  • Plan, organise and facilitate individual learning
  • Provide work skill instruction
  • Make a presentation
  • Contribute to assessment
  • Plan assessment activities and processes
  • Assess competence
  • Participate in assessment validation
  • Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
  • Design and develop learning programs

The online course is structured in 3 separate parts: training delivery, assessment and course design. A preview of the online format and content is provided below.

Students can enrol in all 3 parts at the same time, however, it is recommended that students enrol in one part to start with and complete this part before enrolling in the next part. A refund of course fees is not available once online acces to the course has been provided. Each part of the course is independent of the other parts, so it does not matter which order the parts are completed in.
